Sometimes games played in isolation can be interesting, however, nothing guarantees high adrenaline levels like games in which we have other Internet users as our opponents. MMO (Massively Multiplayer Online), in which participants may be many, is not only entertainment but also a chance to make real interactions with other participants.
Because of their extensive plots, these games can attract users for a long time and therefore they become a part of players' daily presence in the virtual world. One of their characteristics is the formation of teams, groups of teams or whole virtual communities within a game which often form a distinct culture and principles. These features indicate that MMO is not just entertainment but an interesting social phenomenon and its impact goes far beyond light entertainment.
